A photo taken here in Missouri during a VERY foggy day. After much work with it, I have brought it to look like this. My aim was indeed the lighthouse in Silent Hill(1), but only in a photograph, long since dated.
Thanks all. I really do like this pic. It's a real good feeling to have something in my head come to life.

Thanks! It was beautiful when I got it, so I suppose it still is!

wow. this is really beautiful. I think it deserves to be bookmarked or something... maybe a postcard... ^_^ that would be fun. It reminds me of the Outer Banks in North Carolina. They've got a lot of lighthouses there. So yeah. I guess I'll see ya tomorrow (perhaps today when you read this), eh buddy? ^_^ miss ya!!

That's creepy... but I like the foggy feeling in it. The lensflare might look better if it was a bit more subdued (now it's slightly too bright for a foggy day), but otherwise this is very beautiful. Could easily imagine this as the lighthouse of Silent Hill.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!

This image looks like a painting on burnished metal. Very cool effect.
